Synlie

Data Privacy & Anonymity.

At Synlie, we process sentiment, not just statistics. Your privacy is protected through rigorous data isolation and demographic aggregation.

01

Data Intake & Genesis

Synlie collects two types of data: Essential Profile Data (your birth year, gender, education, and location) and Behavioral Insight Data (your votes and sentiment patterns). We do not collect your real name, government ID, or financial information unless explicitly required for premium verification.

02

The Demographic Shield

Our demographic insight blocks (e.g., '60% of people with PhDs voted against this') are generated through anonymized aggregation. When you vote, your demographic identifiers are stripped from your identity and added to a raw statistical bucket.

We analyze trends, not individuals.

03

Algorithmic Privacy: Matches & Opposites

Our 'Same Frequency' and 'Cognitive Opposite' scores are calculated using your voting history. While these scores are visible on your profile by default to enhance social discovery, you can:

Hide match scores from public view in your account settings.

Exclude your profile from being matched with new users.

04

Third-Party Data Systems

We integrate with Google Identity Services for seamless authentication. We only access your primary email and public profile picture to facilitate account creation. We do not have access to your Google Drive, contacts, or other sensitive Google data. Our analytics utilize Google Tag Manager (GTM) for traffic analysis, which is subject to Google's standard cookie policies.

05

Data Life Cycle

We retain your data as long as your narrative exists on Synlie. If you decide to deactivate your account, your profile is purged, and your votes are permanently decoupled from your identity. They remain in the aggregate demographic pool but can no longer be traced back to you.

06

User Sovereignty & Global Rights

Right to Access & Portability

You can request a comprehensive archive of your data, including your full voting history and profile metrics, provided in a machine-readable CSV format.

Right to Erasure (The 'Forget-Me' Protocol)

You can delete your account at any time. This triggers an immediate purge of your identity from our matching cache and DM databases.

Right to Rectification

If your demographic markers change (e.g., location or education level), you have the right to update these to ensure accuracy in matching.

Right to Object

You may object to our automated processing of your voting history for social discovery purposes through your account's privacy toggles.

07

Tracking & Pulse Analytics

We use secure, first-party 'session cookies' to keep you logged in and 'functional cookies' to remember your theme preferences. For analytical oversight, we use Google Tag Manager to track page views and interactions, helping us optimize the Narrative Engine's performance. No third-party marketing trackers are used to follow you outside of the Synlie ecosystem.
